Guided “Forest Life in Winter” Hike
The winter forest isn’t asleep — it just works quietly. On the guided walking hike “Forest Life in Winter”, we’ll learn to read the forest like detectives: a trail of tracks in the snow, a gnawed pine cone, a woodpecker’s “workshop,” a hare’s winter “highway,” and that one mysterious hollow that makes you wonder: was it a moose… or just a very confident dog?
During the hike we’ll look for and interpret the activity signs of animals and birds, talk about winter menus and survival tricks (without the action-movie drama), and practise moving in nature in a way that’s respectful — like a polite guest. We’ll take a cosy break: hot tea and a small “silence challenge” — 2 minutes quiet to hear how much the forest actually has to say.
This hike is great for families, adults, and groups of friends/teams. The pace is calm and adjustable. The focus is on the experience and on learning how to notice things yourself afterwards: who passed here during the night, where they went, and why. Dress in layers and bring gloves. At the end we’ll do a little “track quiz”: who left this sign — and where were they heading? A thermos is a plus. And warmth.
