First time on snowshoes? Perfect. Viru Bog is an ideal place to start. We’ll move at a calm pace, learn how to “read” the bog, and enjoy the views. Movement is good for both body and mind. 🙂

• Distance on snowshoes: 1–1.5 km (easy pace)

• Break: on a bog island — mini pancakes with strawberry jam + hot tea

• Suitable for: 8+ (younger kids: agreement case-by-case)

• We visit bogs/wetlands with ~2,500 people every year (incl. kids & youth)

What we’ll do

• Visit the viewing tower (Viru’s “wow spot”)

• Explore bog lakes, pools, and plants — why a bog is like a living science lab

• Use NutiAkadeemia smart microscopes (attach to your phone) — film/photo the tiny bog world 🔬📱

• Walk safely at a comfortable pace — the bog is not a place to rush 😄

Prices (choose your package)

• 1–2 adults: €80 / person

• 3–4 adults: €50 / person

• 5–9 adults: €40 / person

• 10+ adults: €35 / person

• Kids 8–10: -50%

• Multiple groups (25+ people): -5%

• Bonus: do a cartwheel on snowshoes -30% (stylish, safe, and only with the guide’s approval — the bog doesn’t love heroes 😄)

Booking & payment

• €20 booking fee must be paid online before 27 Feb 2026.

• The booking fee is non-refundable if you don’t show up on 28 Feb 2026 without a valid reason.

• The remaining amount is paid before the hike via invoice or cash on site.

What to bring

• Weather-appropriate clothing (layers + wind/rain protection)

• Waterproof boots / hiking shoes (in a bog there’s always “a little water”)

• If your shoe size is over 45, tell us when booking (we’ll find the right snowshoes)

• Optional: your own mug/thermos (tea & pancakes are on us — a mug is a nice bonus)
